Venus Lighthouse is a starter stage in Super Smash Flash 2 that hails from the Golden Sun series. It was shown on the Day 4 stream at Super Smash Con 2016. It was shown again on the Day 4 stream at Super Smash Con 2018, with updated sprites.[1] It is named after the dungeon of the same name that appears in Golden Sun.

Layout[]

The stage consist of three pillars that players can jump onto at any given time. There is a soft platform above the middle of the main pillar. Players are also able to fight inside any of the three pillars.

Music[]

  • The main music track is Issac's Battle Theme (Golden Sun), an intense synthetic remix of the main battle theme of Golden Sun.
  • The alternate music track is Title Theme (Golden Sun), an orchestral remix of the title theme from Golden Sun.

Tournament Legality[]

The stage will likely be banned due to its huge size, which promotes camping and gives a huge disadvantage to characters that rely on horizontal kill moves.

Origin[]

Venus Lighthouse (appearance)

The peak of Venus Lighthouse in Golden Sun.

The Venus Lighthouse is the last dungeon that the characters in Golden Sun must enter in order to finish the game. It is one of the four elemental lighthouses in the world; when one of the magical gems known as elemental stars is placed in the beacon, the corresponding alchemical element will reawaken, and adepts aligned with it will be empowered; in the case of Venus Lighthouse, the Earth element, which is the element Isaac is aligned to. If all four lighthouses are lit, then the full power of alchemy will be restored. This is the second one to be lit.

The stage specifically takes place at the peak of the lighthouse, the scene of the final battle between Isaac's party and the powerful Mars adepts Saturos and Menardi.
