- This article is about the special move. For the supporting character, see Toad.
Peach using Toad.
|Effect||Peach holds out Toad, who sprays damaging spores outwards at opponents upon absorbing an attack.|
When performed, Peach pulls out Toad and holds him in front of her for a moment. If Toad is attacked, he blows out a puff of spores upon absorbing the attack, which can hit opponents multiple times and launch them with the final spore. The spores tend to deal little damage and knockback when countering weaker attacks, but they become stronger and can even KO depending on the strength of the attack. Additionally, the move slows Peach's descent when used in the air, and it also lifts her up slightly the first time it is used in the air.
The move is unique to the Super Smash Bros. series, but the Toads are Princess Peach's loyal servants in the Mario series, as well as the Mushroom Kingdom's dominant species. Toads dropping spores upon being hit was first seen in Mario Tennis upon completing a tournament with Toad.
- When Kirby copies this move, the range of the attack is significantly increased.
