Skyward Voyage is a starter stage in Super Smash Flash 2 hailing from The Legend of Zelda series. It was first revealed on the v0.9b trailer and first made playable at APEX 2014. The stage is based on the skies and places found throughout the Sky during Link's adventure in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

This stage, alongside Silph Co., Shadow Moses Island and Distant Planet, was removed in Beta 1.0 and is currently unavailable. It may or may not return in the future.

Layout[]

The stage starts off with players being at Light Tower. Then Beedle's Air Shop arrives and takes the players away from Skyloft, to other Sky Islands. Players soon arrive at the Pumpkin Landing. Soon after, players next destination is Bamboo Island. Players are then taken to Fun Fun Island. Players then enter the Thunderhead where the clouds have become darker. Here they play on Bug Haven Island, and then the Isle of Songs. The Isle of Songs is the only island that the Beedle Ship is not present for. Eventually the Beedle Ship returns to pick up the players and return them to Light Tower.

Music[]

  • The main music track is Ballad of the Goddess, an electronic remix of the main theme of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Tournament legality[]

This stage is banned in competitive play. The main stage, as well as several of its configurations, are extremely tiny, to the point that they feel cramped with even just two players. At least one of the configurations creates an impassable wall on the right-hand side of the stage, enabling wall infinites and preventing KOs off the rightmost boundary.
