|Silver the Hedgehog|
|First appearance||''Sonic the Hedgehog 2006''|
|Effect||Binds opponents in place using psychokinesis rendering them vulnerable.|
Silver the Hedgehog (シルバー・ザ・ヘッジホッグ Shirubā za Hejjihoggu) is an anthropomorphic silver hedgehog in the Sonic series of games, where he hails from at least 200 years in the future. His first appearance was in the poor, glitchy, and critically received Sonic the Hedgehog 2006.
He is a 14 year old hedgehog, weighing 35 kg and is 100cm tall (3ft and 3inches). His main role in the games is to protect the future by changing the problems in the past with the help from his psychokinesis, which are psychic powers. He has the ability to time-travel, though this is implied to be done with the assistance of future technology.
In Super Smash Flash 2
Silver appears as an Assist Trophy in SSF2. He yells "take this!", then uses his psychokinetic powers to trap opponents in place allowing his summoner to attack the victim repeatedly, but the victims have a small degree of control while this is going on. His psychokinesis effect lasts about 10 seconds before his powers wear off and he disappears.
- Silver was originally meant to be a merely background character in Green Hill Zone, running across the loop, like in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This probably was changed when the stage got revamped, and as a result, he is now an Assist Trophy.
