Shells, or Koopa Shells, are a family throwable items present in the Super Smash Flash series, coming directly from the Mario series. There are four kinds of shells, each one having its own unique properties, which are:
- Green Shell, a sliding shell that knocks everything on its path.
- Red Shell, a sliding shell that follows and targets on players.
- Yellow Shell, a sliding shell that buries players on contact.
- Spiny Shell, a flying shell that homes on the leading player, exploding on contact.
