This article is about the stage. For the event, see Meteo Campaign.

Meteo Campaigns, formerly Meteo Voyage and Meteo Campaign, is a starter stage in Super Smash Flash 2.

Layout[]

The battle takes place on board a spaceship called the Great Fox, which takes its Star Fox Command design. The deck of the spaceship essentially serves as a large main platform. There are four smaller red protruding wings on both sides of the ship that act as platforms, two on each side of the ship with the upper ones being pass-through platforms.

Tournament legality[]

This stage is banned in competitive play. The stage itself is overly large with high platforms, making it hard to traverse for slower characters with less vertical mobility. The odd platform layout makes it extremely easy to camp. Fast characters can camp the center if the opponent is on the lower wing, or on the lower wing if the opponent is on the center, preventing their opponent from being able to actually approach them without getting punished. Also, the lower platforms have very large walls on one side, which over-centralizes the game on wall combos while removing some of the horizontal KO ability.

Origin[]

The stage is based on the recurring Meteo asteroid belt from the Star Fox games, said to be located in the Lylat system between planets Corneria and Fichina.

The battle itself takes place on board the new Great Fox, the mother ship of the Star Fox team introduced in Star Fox Command after the destruction of the previous Great Fox. Arwings, which are the main vehicles ridden by the Star Fox team, also appear in the background.

Trivia[]

  • This stage is a modified version of the Venom stage from Super Smash Bros. Melee. The primary difference is that the Command Great Fox lacks the tall central fin that the 64 Great Fox that Venom used possessed, removing a highly obstructive partition and overall making gameplay much smoother.
