Yes This article contains information for a confirmed feature that is not currently available.

The subject was confirmed by an official source, but is not present in the current version of the work bound to appear. Instead, it is meant for a future update. Any information is subject to change.

This article is about overall stage that transforms. For the main stage form, see Starship Mario.

Galaxy Tours is a stage in Super Smash Flash 2, which is basically a compilation of various sub-stages from the games Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. As with Skyward Voyage, the stage travels throughout different locations or galaxies. Players ride on the Starship Mario to journey through various galaxies. The difference between this and the original Super Mario Galaxy game's galaxies is that the stages won't be affected by the planetoids gravity, making characters fall downward in they leave the stage boundaries.

Visited galaxies

The stage main feature is to change into many galaxies.

Confirmed galaxies

So far, only three locations (whose one of them is not considered a galaxy but the main hub) have been confirmed:

Pending galaxies

These galaxies were confirmed at some point but after the closure of the second Smash Flash DOJO!!, their status is unknown. Some of them were also shown in the SSF2 Mini-Trailers and/or hinted in the McLeodGaming Forums:

  • Battlerock Galaxy
  • Ghostly Galaxy
  • Honeyhive Galaxy
  • Hurry Scurry Galaxy
  • Puzzle Plank Galaxy

Music

  • The main track is titled Good Egg Galaxy (sometimes titled Egg Planet) from Super Mario Galaxy's soundtrack.
  • The alternate music track is titled Gusty Garden Galaxy, a custom remix also coming from Super Mario Galaxy.

Tournament legality

This stage is banned in tournament play. The stage itself is absolutely massive, making KOs significantly more difficult than they need to be, while giving an overwhelming advantage to characters with strong onstage games. There are also many platforms strewn about haphazardly, giving players many opportunities to camp or run the clock down. With that being said, the new redesign for the stage means that competitive play may be seen in the stage's future.
