Gaara (我愛羅), nicknamed as "Gaara of the Sand", is a major supporting character of the Naruto series. He debuts as an antagonist, but has a change of heart after being defeated by Naruto Uzumaki. By Naruto Shippūden, he is the Fifth Kazekage of Sunagakure, the Hidden Sand Village.

He makes a minor cameo in Super Smash Flash 2, watching players fight in Hidden Leaf Village. He is one of the numerous background characters in that stage. Prior to receiving a resprite in Beta 1.3.2, he would manipulate some sand every few seconds.
